Canton Massachusetts veterans, including 96-year-old Bob DeYeso, talk about the wars from World War II to Afghanistan and their personal experiences to students and answer their questions.  

In the Spotlight: Project 351 Food Drive

Two Canton High students talk with CCTV's Andrea Galvin to explain the Project 351 food drive. Donations through Nov. 23, 2021. "351" stands for the '351 towns in Massachusetts set up by the State to get youth involved in solving community problems.

Tewksbury Library hosts along with Canton and thirty libraries across Massachusetts this panel of Agatha Christie award nominees recipients whose work is considered the best in the tradition of the famed mystery writer. Canton Conversations: Peter Pineo on the local filming of ”Little Women.”

Long time active resident Peter Pineo talks with CCTV's Tim O'Connor about location filming of the 2019 movie "Little Women"  with Merly Streep. Peter set up the ''Insiders Tour" Hollywood style. The Bradley Estate in Canton, MA was significant in the movie. Many Trustees of Reservation estates were used. Peter talks about his memory of the Bradley Estate when it was owned Elenor Bradley of the Cabots who "only speak to God."

Caroline Kautsire 10-20-21

Caroline Kautsire is originally from Malawi, Africa, and is currently an English literature and writing professor at Bunker Hill Community College in Boston. She is the author of the book  What Kind of Girl? and has published poetry and flash fiction that explores themes such as searching for identity, social justice, and women’s empowerment.

She talks about her life growing up in Malawi and her experiences after coming to America. 

Author Jeffrey Archer virtual Visit to the Canton Public Library

Jeffrey Archer 10-23-21

Jeffrey Archer is one of the world’s bestselling authors, with sales of over 275 million copies in 97 countries, and is the only author ever to have been a number one bestseller in fiction (twenty times), short stories (four times) and non-fiction ( The Prison Diaries). He was born in London, and brought up in the West Country. He gained a Blue in Athletics at Oxford, was President of the University Athletics Club, and went on to run the 100 yards in 9.6 seconds for Great Britain in 1966. Jeffrey has served five years in the House of Commons as a Member of Parliament, and twenty-nine years as a Member of the House of Lords.

He talks about some of his inspirations and methods in writing books and shares some interesting stories. A fascinating man. 

In the Spot Light: Path to Healing. Horses, veterans and the healing of trauma

Keri-Ann Wagner, Counselor, Med, LMHC, of "Path to Healing " in South Easton talks with Canton Community Tv's Andrea Galvin about her program using horseback riding to help heal veterans from trauma. From yoga, tai chi, to cooking and group counseling, the holistic approach Wagner says, helps veterans transitioning to civilian life. 

Ted Reinstein from the Canton Public Library on his latest book, ”Before Brooklyn”

Ted Reinstein, best known for WCVB's “Chronicle Magazine," has written another book, "Before Brooklyn: The Unsung Heroes Who Helped Break Baseball’s Color Barrier." It tells the 1945 story where a liberal Boston City Councilman, Izzy Muchnick, persuaded the Red Sox to try out three black players.
