The Bradley Estate in Canton, MA was significant in the movie. Many Trustees of Reservation estates were used. Peter talks about his memory of the Bradley Estate when it was owned Elenor Bradley of the Cabots who "only speak to God."

Ted Reinstein, best known for WCVB's “Chronicle Magazine," has written another book, "Before Brooklyn: The Unsung Heroes Who Helped Break Baseball’s Color Barrier." It tells the 1945 story where a liberal Boston City Councilman, Izzy Muchnick, persuaded the Red Sox to try out three black players.
