In the Spotlight: Rosie Sampson talks about "Memory Cafe’s" with CCTV's Andrea Galvin. A "Memory Cafe" is a social setting for people with Alzheimer’s or dementia or even mild cognitive impairment. It is designed to include the care partner as well for a shared social experience.
The Memory Cafe in Canton is on the 4th Thursday of Every month at the Canton Public Library at 1:30 PM. It’s free and no registration is needed--just drop by.

From the Paul Revere Heritage Site: Lt. Helena Rafferty was sworn in as Canton's 14 Police Chief on Tuesday, June 14 with State troopers, the police staff, three former chiefs, and Celtic bag players present. Speakers include retiring Chief, Ken Berkowitz, Select Board Chair, John Connolly, and Canton Representative, Bill Galvin, along with several short statements from Canton's clergy. But the highlight of the event was the speech given by Rafferty herself. Listen to the ceremony here taped by CantonCommunityTv.org.
